Sarah Noon
Born in Kirby Muxloe, Sarah was educated at St. Clare’s Convent, Coalville, Presentation Convent High School for Girls in Matlock, and the School of St. Mary & St. Anne, Abbots Bromley. Upon leaving school, she attended Malborough Secretarial College in Oxford, before taking up a post with the BBC World Service in London. Whilst with the BBC, Sarah worked on the production team for an arts magazine programme, and also spent a year working at BBC Radio Derby. After leaving the BBC, she worked as a PA to the Managing Director of an electronics company in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Coming from a farming background, Sarah took the decision in 1987 to return to her roots, and enrolled on a Farm Secretary’s course at Brooksby College, Melton Mowbray, and she is now a self-employed Farm Secretary, working for five large farms across Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
Sarah was appointed as a Foundation Governor at St. Clare’s Catholic Primary School, Coalville in 2004, and sat on the Governing Body for 14 years, serving as Chair for five years. She was also a Foundation Director and Vice Chair of the Blessed Cyrian Tansi Catholic Academy Trust from 2012 to 2018. Working alongside other Chairs, Sarah supported the NRCDES with the preparation and launch of the four CMATs in the Diocese of Nottingham, and has been a Foundation Director and Chair of the St. Thomas Aquinas CMAT since September 2018.
Sarah has been married to Steve for 31 years. They have three sons and a daughter, all of whom were education at schools within the St. Thomas Aquinas CMAT.
As a Foundation Director of the St. Ralph Sherwin CMAT, Sarah is committed to ensuring that the Catholic ethos is a lived and daily experience, that permeates every aspect of school life, and which in turn enables young people to be sent out as missionary disciples after leaving the schools within the CMAT.
Sarah is an active member of the parish of St. Wilfrid of York, Coalville.
