Sarah Lockyer
Sarah has worked in Catholic education for 26 years having graduated from the University of Leeds. During that time, she has held a variety of middle and senior leadership roles in Yorkshire and the East Midlands. She has led training and professional development at school and Trust level, and has worked with trainee teachers for the University of Leicester. Sarah is the longest serving secondary Catholic Schools Inspector in the Diocese of Nottingham, a role which has given her tremendous insight into the provision and leadership of many schools across the diocese.
Sarah’s philosophy of what facilitates excellent Catholic education is simple and consistently effective: great subject and pedagogical knowledge; relentlessly high expectations for all; and, at the heart of everything, strong, authentic relationships.
Having worked in support of schools across two of the three Diocesan CMATs, Sarah was delighted to be appointed as Director of Performance and Standards (Secondary) at St Ralph Sherwin CMAT in 2023.
