Amanda has had the privilege of working in a number of Local Authorities across the country, though Derby City has been her base for over 15 years. Since the Trust formed in September 2018, Amanda’s portfolio has included various roles and responsibilities, including Executive Headteacher, Director of Performance and Standards, Lead for the areas of Assessment, Formation and CPD, and, more recently, the Trust’s School Improvement Partner in Catholic Life.

Amanda is a serving inspector for both the Diocese of Nottingham and Ofsted, as well as a long-standing and accredited Local Leader of Education. She has supported a number of schools successfully in challenging circumstances. Amanda’s expertise centres around leadership and curriculum – in particular designing, developing and improving the curriculum, assessment procedures and staff development – whilst drawing on her interest of educational research, pedagogy and reflective practice.
