Chris Maher
Born in Birmingham, Chris currently lives in Leicestershire with his wife and three children who attend a primary school in the St Thomas Aquinas CMAT. Chris is a Director of Performance and Standards in the Our Lady of Lourdes CMAT supporting both primary and secondary schools with school improvement. He was formerly the Deputy Director of Education for the Nottingham Roman Catholic Diocesan Education Service.
Chris has extensive senior leadership experience at secondary school level and used to work at The Becket School in Nottingham. He began his teaching career at Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Voluntary Academy, Burton on Trent. In his career, Chris has developed a teaching school and led Religious Education departments to outstanding under Diocesan Catholic Inspection. He is a Catholic Schools’ Inspector. Chris is passionate about equality for all children, Catholic Life and Mission, Lay Chaplaincy and ensuring that all young people receive the highest standard of Catholic education so that they have the very best life chances
He is an active member of the St Wilfred of York Parish in Coalville.
